Have you noticed there is an increase of loving and peaceful messages from inspirational teachers? Everyday my inbox contains some of these positive messages. And there seems to be an increase in the negative news too. Maybe that is why inspirational leaders are sending out positive words filled with love to balance out the negative ones.
What you concentrate your thoughts and feelings on becomes your reality. It is the power of Law of Attraction. We attract to us what we put out in the world. If we use negative words or feelings that come from fear, hate, judgement or ego then we will attract back negativity to ourselves. If we use positive words and emotions that come from love, peace, compassion and understanding, then we will bring the power of positive love back to ourselves. The question is, what do you want to create in your life?
Inspirational teachers come in many forms and some are everyday people. Betty White is a prime example of a person who uses positive words to share with the world. She just celebrated her 95th birthday being interviewed by Katie Couric and was asked to comment on the state of our country and how divided it seems to be.
Betty said “It is very divided and we are not at the best place. But that’s the time to buckle down and really work positively as much as you can instead of saying ‘oh this is terrible or he is terrible’. Just think, all right, there’s nothing I can do about that right now. But I can do my best in my little circle. So if I do that, maybe you’ll do your best and we’ll get through this…People say ‘you know what I hate or I hate this’ instead of I will get through this. But do you know what I love, then all of the sudden you start lifting up a little bit. If you start with you know what I hate, you are going to go right down the tubes. I know it sounds boring but I am a positive thinker, a cockeyed optimist. And that is why I have stayed happy all my life. You gotta get through it and you can’t change it so let’s just (put) one foot in front of the other and get through it.”
Betty made her television debut in 1939. According to Guinness Book of World Records, she has had the longest television career of any female in history and is still working today at the age of 95. Who better than Betty White who has lived through some of America’s most challenging times to give advice on how to live a happy life by thinking positively? She is joyful, healthy, grateful and still enjoying life at 95. I couldn’t ask for a kinder, happier person who lives life to the fullest as an inspirational role model for us to look up to.
My goal this year is to do my best in my little circle by sending out love, peace, compassion and positivity and to let go of all the negativity, fear and judgement. We truly can change the world one person at a time. Will you be the inspiration for your little circle? You can. I have faith in you!
